ELECTION NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Paradise Town will hold a
Municipal Election this fall to elect
two (2) candidates to serve four-year terms on the Paradise Town
Council;
(1) Candidate to serve a two-year term on Paradise Town Council
And one (1) candidate to serve a two-year term as Paradise Town Mayor.
Persons desiring to be candidates for the 2019 Paradise Town
Municipal Election must file a declaration of candidacy
form between June 3, 2019 and June 7, 2019 at the Town
Office, 9035 South 100 West, Monday thru Thursday, 9:00 am
to noon and no later than 5:00 p.m. June 7, 2019
or by appointment at 435-512-1940

Candidates must meet the
following qualifications:
1. Be a United States citizen
2. Be at least 18 years old
3 Be a resident of Paradise Town
for at least 365 consecutive
days immediately preceding
the date of the election; and
4. Be a registered voter of
Paradise Town.

The primary election, if necessary, will be held Tuesday, August 13,
2019
and the municipal election will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2017.

TOWN COUNCIL VACANCY

NOTICE OF MIDTERM VACANCY
IN MUNICIPAL OFFICE

Pursuant to Utah Code 20A-1-150: If any vacancy occurs in the municipal
office of the municipal executive or the member of the municipal
legislative body, the municipal legislative body shall appoint a
registered voter in the municipality who meets the qualifications for
office established in Section 10-3-301 to fill the unexpired term of the
office vacated. On June 6, 2018 the Paradise Town Council will hold a
regular meeting for the purpose of filling the vacant seat of Council
Member and where all interested parties will be heard. The meeting will
be held at the Paradise Town hall at 9035 S. 100 W. in Paradise Utah at
7:30 p.m. The deadline for submitting an interested person’s name is
June 4, 2015. Interested persons should contact Alyssa Petersen at the
town office 435-245-6737, 9035 S. 100 W. Paradise.

Election Cancellation Notice!!

Notice of Cancellation of Election

Pursuant to Utah Code 20A-1-206: A municipal legislative body may
cancel an election if: all the municipal officers are elected in an
at-large election…: and the number of municipal officer candidates,
including any eligible write-in candidates…if any, does not exceed the
number of open at-large municipal offices for which the candidates have
filed.

On October 4, 2017, the Paradise Town Council adopted Resolution 02-2017
cancelling the Paradise Town, November 7, 2017 Municipal Election and
certifying the following:
• There are two candidates for two at-large Town Council seats. And
no candidates for the seat of Mayor.
• There are no municipal ballot propositions.
• The following candidates are considered to be elected to office:

o Spencer Winn
o Shannon Rasmussen
